POINTS OF INFORMATION

1. THE AVENGERS (Rob)
"The Avengers" is a new superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team. The film is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Samuel L. Jackson.  Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and Thor to form a team that must stop Thor's adoptive brother Loki from subjugating the Earth.  Mark Ruffalo plays Dr. Bruce Banner/the Hulk, a genius whose exposure to gamma radiation has transformed him into a monster when enraged or excited, which often happens. Ruffalo says the he looks at the role as "my generation's Hamlet. . . . He's a guy struggling with two sides of himself—the dark and the light—and everything he does in his life is filtered through issues of control."  Does the film present anger as a postive emotion?
