AGENDA

1. CHECK-IN TIME (Nancy)
Henceforward, PJH's "check-in" (a non-cross-talk round of commentary on the experience of the past week by those who are present) will begin by 10:20 a.m. In this way it is hoped that there will always be adequate time for the discussion of agenda items.

2. STATE OF THE UNION (All)
General dismay at the indifference displayed with regard to the environmental impact of energy proposals (nuclear plants, "clean coal," off-shore drilling, etc.). One member found President Obama's simile comparing the bail-out of banks to a root canal to be apposite.

3. PJH FUNDRAISER (All)
People for Peace, Justice, and Healing will hold a fundraiser on Sat., May 1, 2010, at Associated Ministries. Program: to be determined.

1. DIGGING DEEPER BOOKS FOR FEBRUARY (Mark)
UFPPC'S Digging Deeper has announced the reading selections for February for its Monday night book discussion circle, held Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mandolin Café (3923 S. 12 St., Tacoma). Two works by Slavoj Zizek will be discussed on Feb. 1 & 8.
