People for Peace, Justice, and Healing

People for Peace, Justice, and Healing did not meet on Saturday, March 24, so that PJHers could go to the March for Our Lives, a demonstration that included a march that set out from Peoples Park around 11:00 a.m. to Jason Lee Middle School and then returned to Peoples Park. Before the march there were speeches by many of the students involved in organizing the event as well as Mayor Victoria Woodards, Rep. Derrick Kilmer, et al. It was one of hundreds of such marches across the nation in response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, on Feb. 14, 2018.
