Debrief of "From War to Peace: Personal Reflections on the Healing of a Deeply Divided Society," a talk by Conor Browne, from Northern Ireland, who already has a Ph.D. in philosophy and is studying for an M.A. at Queens University in Belfast specializing in peace and national security studies on Jun. 26 at King's Books. Attendance: about fifty.

3. ETHNIC FEST TABLING (Sallie S.)
Planning for staffing table on Sat., Jul. 26, and Sun., Jul. 27. Call Sallie (253-383-3056 ext. 105) to reserve a time.

4. PAPER PLATES AND PLASTIC PLATES (Sallie S.)
Discussion of the ecological impact of disposable items.

1. UFPPC'S BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP ON TERROR AND CONSENT ON JUNE 30 & JULY 7 (Mark J.)
On Monday, June 30, United for Peace of Pierce County's Monday night book discussion group, Digging Deeper, will begin a two-week examination of Philip Bobbitt's Terror and Consent: The Wars for the Twenty-First Century (Knopf, 2008). Digging Deeper meets Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mandolin Café (3923 S. 12th St., Tacoma).
