People for Peace, Justice, and Healing met on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Antique Sandwich Company in Ruston.  Present for check-in were Carl, Sol, Colleen, Mark, Sheila, and Karen K.

Approved. Application to go forward.

2. MOVEMENT TO ABOLISH DEATH PENALTY IN WASHINGTON STATE (Colleen)
Background: ACLU research shows half of the people in Washington do not know that there is a death penalty here. Opinion is divided 50-50. Pro-death penalty views control the legislature. Studies show that the most dissuasive arguments to the public are money, innocence, and fairness, in that order. Pierce and Kitsap Counties are among the highest askers for the death penalty.
